Odorless mineral spirits (not turpentine) in jar with lid

2 16x20” or slightly smaller stretched canvases or canvas mounted on panel

Palette – a pad of paper palettes or a wooden palette is fine. If wooden be sure surface is sealed with several coats of varnish before bringing to class. A raw wood palette (unpainted or unsealed) will not work.

Brushes – a wide selection of rather small soft synthetic brushes in varying sizes and shapes. I prefer filbert for the larger ones and round for the smaller ones. Size numbers vary greatly across brands so get a variety of sizes and shapes, mostly small, some very small.  One bristle brush about 1” wide. 1 or 2 fan brushes in different sizes, synthetic or natural hair, not bristle.

Can of spray retouch varnish

Roll of paper towels
