Materials List

• Kneaded eraser (large)
• 1 Staedtler Mars white plastic eraser
• 1 of each drawing pencil: B,  4B  and a  SHARPENER
• 1 soft charcoal pencil, staedler- Pitt recommended
• vine charcoal - soft
• Pad of Bristol drawing paper
• Roll of 1"-wide masking tape BLACK
• Drawing board that fits the size of the paper

For those who want to do  beginning painting  (I recommend drawing first....):
Textured  Gesso board or canvas or Sourcetek panels:  http://www.canvaspanels.com/ (highly recommended). 9x 12 or larger     
Oil paint (PLEASE NO STUDENT GRADE PAINTS!): Flake white replacement, Titanium white, yellow ochre, venetion or Indian red and ivory black.
Optional: cad. yellow light, cad. orange, cad red light, alizarin permanent. Ultramarine blue, cerulean blue hue, thalo blue, perm. Green, viridian, sap green, black, raw umber, transp. Red oxide, transp yellow oxide.
Gamblin - odorless paint thinner  ( and a jar for this)
Brushes:  filbert bristle 2 , 4, 6  and 8 and a palette knife.   
Shop towels from Costco or Viva towels, rags. Old shirt to paint in, plastic bag for rags and food if you get hungry.
